What You'll Do
- Lead & Develop Teams
- Provide daily leadership, coaching, and support to hourly associates and production teams.
- Establish clear expectations and hold teams accountable to safety, quality, service, and productivity goals.
- Foster an engaged, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.
- Build strong employee relationships through communication, coaching, and development.
- Address performance concerns and administer corrective action when appropriate.
Drive Operational Excellence
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet production and customer requirements.
- Cook up staffing, scheduling, and resources to support business objectives.
- Monitor key operational metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Utilize data and critical thinking to solve problems and drive sustainable results.
Champion Safety & Quality
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and promote a culture where safety is the top priority.
- Conduct safety audits, lead associate training, and support behavior-based safety initiatives.
- Partner with Environmental Health & Safety teams to ensure compliance with OSHA and Shaw safety standards.
- Investigate quality concerns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all products meet customer expectations and quality specifications.
Collaborate Across the Business
- Partner with Maintenance, Human Resources, Continuous Improvement, and Operations teams to achieve plant goals.
- Support inventory audits, budgeting efforts, cost management, and operational planning.
- Lead and support change initiatives that improve overall plant performance.
What We're Looking For
- Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics, military, or operational environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for leading people and achieving results.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience leading teams in a 24/7 operation.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence principles.
- Experience improving processes, reducing costs, and driving measurable business results.
- Experience managing employee performance, coaching associates, and developing future leaders.
