About the role
Deceuninck North America is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor for the Monroe, Ohio facility. The role is available for night shifts, 12 hours per shift, following a 2-2-3 schedule (7:45pm - 8:00am).
Responsibilities
- Drive accountability for operational, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
- Provide direction, leadership and mentorship to employees in the management of their assigned areas to ensure that business objectives and satisfactory performance are met.
- Afford assessments of competency and capabilities of direct reports, ensuring employee development.
- Identify and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Effectively participate in the process of employee selection, hiring and retention.
- Establish and/or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Lead by example.
- Owning safety culture for team. Manage safety investigations and related corrective actions. Participate on Safety Committee with meaningful contributions.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Two to four years of frontline supervision experience are required.
- Manufacturing Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience working with computer systems to enter and track data is required.
- An understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma principles is preferred.
- A proven ability to mentor and manage employees is required.
- A demonstrated ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency is required.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
