Manufacturing Supervisor

Position Summary

Sought is an experienced leader to oversee daily production, manage staff, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency in a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include supporting employee development and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Start and end of shift communications, monitoring tasks, and validating Fiber Path cleanliness, LIFO, reworks, expedite, and engineering feedback.
• Prepare and deliver daily reports.
• Interview manufacturing applicants.
• Update work instructions and Standardized Plant Layout (SPL).
• Schedule personnel to optimize labor usage.
• Manage vacation and overtime schedules.
• Update and approve timecards.
• Ensure equipment operation safety, efficiency, and adherence to guidelines.
• Review and prepare Maintenance-X requests as needed.
• Validate PPE and clean room protocols.
• Attend and participate in safety meetings, prepare and close out safety reports.
• Communicate during emergencies and power failures.
• Call in support staff or trades as required.
• Issue disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Communicate with HR and Production Manager on employee-related matters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing leadership or 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• (Preferred) Knowledge of Fiber Optic Industry.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and resolution skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Able to understand and utilize data for continuous improvement.

Pay

Hiring range: $75,000 - $90,000. Final offer may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

Schedule

This is a second shift position with a Monday through Friday schedule from 4pm to 1am.
