Responsibilities
- Manage Telecom filter production operations to meet customer and site requirements.
- Monitor production lines to ensure proper documentation and adherence to procedures.
- Maintain minimum requirements for On-time to Promise Date and On-time to Customer Request (POD / CRD) consistent with site targets.
- Achieve product return levels consistent with site targets.
- Review daily production requirements and coordinate with lead personnel to ensure staffing, material, and equipment are in place.
- Coordinate resource sharing with supervisors and leads.
- Ensure all Multistage lines (Transfer, Test, Tune, and Shipping areas) work cohesively to achieve department goals and lowest possible cost.
- Continuously monitor lines to identify process improvements that reduce operating costs or improve efficiency, targeting yield-affecting processes for potential projects.
- Maintain a high standard for quality and a safe work environment.
- Support implementation of new equipment or software (jointly with ACC staff).
- Work with Quality Administrator to create work instructions for new and existing processes and develop a training matrix for the area.
- Manage and maintain all physical and electronic WIP/Inventory.
- Determine and confirm raw material availability with the planning group.
- Train existing and new employees to optimize team capability and capacity.
- Ensure the team is staffed, motivated, inspired, engaged, and empowered to deliver high and sustainable performance.
- Use proper interview and selection techniques to ensure the right people are in the right jobs.
- Foster a learning environment and ensure the team is trained to meet short- and long-term organizational expectations.
- Set and maintain annual goals with meaningful stretch targets, providing ongoing feedback focused on development with 100% on-time delivery.
- Ensure open, two-way communication channels for effective teamwork.
- Maintain an accident-free environment by following all EH&S policies and procedures, promoting a culture where all accidents are preventable.
- Ensure compliance with Coherent and local HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely department information systems, records, reports, and metrics.
- Follow company policy regarding safety, environmental, and ergonomic requirements.
- Understand and comply with the Company Technology Control Plan, IP protection, and Export Compliance requirements.
- Understand and execute relevant IT and Quality procedures.
- Serve as a role model for Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction, and Business Results.
- Maintain a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, competency, and quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing company with 2-5 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience developing and sustaining High-Performance Work Groups.
- Experience in thin film coatings preferred.
- Knowledge of automation, machining, and other manufacturing processes.
- Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Experience with problem analysis and resolution at the functional level.
- Proven track record of continuous improvement.
- Experience with ISO Quality and business process management.
- Experience in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) strongly preferred.

Indoor, controlled environment. Fast-paced, reacting to ever-changing staffing and customer demands.
Safety Requirements
- All employees are required to attend scheduled training and follow site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards, including the use of proper protective equipment (PPE).
- Managers must ensure risk assessments are performed, proper training and work instructions are provided, required PPE is available, and compliance is monitored.
Quality and Environmental Responsibilities
Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of ISO 9000, 9001, 14001, and/or other applicable standards within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
