Manufacturing Supervisor

The Manufacturing Supervisor role provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. You will tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational discipline by ensuring consistent adherence to standard work, documented procedures, and quality requirements.
• Provide daily supervision and direction to production and/or hourly employees.
• Manage employee training, ensuring team members are properly trained, certified, and maintain required competencies for their roles.
• Coach and develop employees while reinforcing clear performance expectations and accountability.
• Handle shift administrative activities such as time and absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, and overtime.
• Plan and prioritize daily work schedules, allocate work assignments, and regulate production processes to meet daily production requirements.
• Use production metrics to identify issues, drive corrective actions, and support consistent performance.
• Encourage continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality, and spending.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Five (5) years in a manufacturing and/or production environment in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Three (3) years supervisor or leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (preferred).
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience leading or participating in Lean Six Sigma projects and/or Green Belt certification.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and strong decision-making capability in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using ERP or manufacturing systems such as SAP or MES.

Skills

• High School Diploma, GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Five (5) years in a manufacturing and/or production environment in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Three (3) years supervisor or leadership experience.

Pay & Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $84,595 - $103,394, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. Additional information is available at: Pay & Benefits Overview.
