Manufacturing Supervisor - 2nd Shift | High Purity

About the role

The Manufacturing Supervisor at Mott is a hands-on leader who serves as a mentor, coach, and role model for frontline manufacturing teams. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about developing people, optimizing manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and track competency development of manufacturing operators.
• Manage daily workflow and staffing to ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Support and execute continuous improvement initiatives across all shifts, including equipment testing, training, 5S, automation, and process simplification.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork.
• Ensure effective communication across shifts, including structured handoffs of priorities and issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience.
• Prior direct supervisory or people-management experience.
• Demonstrated success in problem solving, project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
• Experience leading teams and managing employee performance and development.
• Techical and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
