Responsibilities

  • Maintain standards for housekeeping and safety.
  • Promote safety and safety initiatives to ensure an incident free work environment.
  • Be responsible for monitoring the daily production of Manufacturing Operators.
  • Be responsible for adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and the manufacture of high-quality products that conform to individual customer specifications.
  • Monitor employee productivity, quality, teamwork, attendance and attention to detail. Complete timely employee performance reviews.
  • Be responsible for effectively communicating with employees to maintain a healthy and positive working environment.
  • Regularly monitor order volume, perform capacity analysis and workforce adjustments to maximize labor utilization and output.
  • Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints regarding products and recommends permanent manufacturing improvements to correct and prevent recurrences.
  • Monitor manufacturing of customer orders for timely shipment and workforce capacity analysis.
  • Manage performance of employee workforce through effective communication and timely performance management.
  • Diagnose manufacturing problems and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and Manufacturing Operators.
  • Work with other departments to coordinate support activities to keep production operational.
  • Have the ability to implement and maintain 5S standards.
  • Observe and promote Company standards and policies.
  • Support and promote the three (3) Company Pillar: People, Customers and Enterprise Operations.
  • Understand current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in medical device and clean room environment.
  • Anticipate the need for materials and supplies required to maintain uninterrupted production for the current and subsequent shift and ensure restocking is accomplished in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of four-years of high school, or equivalent, plus completion of two years of college or graduation from a two-year technical college with an associate degree.
  • Concentration in either manufacturing, operations, engineering, or business management.
  • (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Five+ years experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Leverage of Lean Manufacturing Green or black Belt Certification preferred.
  • Experience with data acquisition and mathematical analysis and use of Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Able to effectively make and present presentations in both large and small group settings.
  • Experience Supervising personnel in a manufacturing setting to include distribution of work, scheduling, training, answering of questions related to work, problem solving, performance management and discipline.
