Responsibilities
- Maintain standards for housekeeping and safety.
- Promote safety and safety initiatives to ensure an incident free work environment.
- Be responsible for monitoring the daily production of Manufacturing Operators.
- Be responsible for adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and the manufacture of high-quality products that conform to individual customer specifications.
- Monitor employee productivity, quality, teamwork, attendance and attention to detail. Complete timely employee performance reviews.
- Be responsible for effectively communicating with employees to maintain a healthy and positive working environment.
- Regularly monitor order volume, perform capacity analysis and workforce adjustments to maximize labor utilization and output.
- Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints regarding products and recommends permanent manufacturing improvements to correct and prevent recurrences.
- Monitor manufacturing of customer orders for timely shipment and workforce capacity analysis.
- Manage performance of employee workforce through effective communication and timely performance management.
- Diagnose manufacturing problems and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and Manufacturing Operators.
- Work with other departments to coordinate support activities to keep production operational.
- Have the ability to implement and maintain 5S standards.
- Observe and promote Company standards and policies.
- Support and promote the three (3) Company Pillar: People, Customers and Enterprise Operations.
- Understand current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in medical device and clean room environment.
- Anticipate the need for materials and supplies required to maintain uninterrupted production for the current and subsequent shift and ensure restocking is accomplished in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Successful completion of four-years of high school, or equivalent, plus completion of two years of college or graduation from a two-year technical college with an associate degree.
- Concentration in either manufacturing, operations, engineering, or business management.
- (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Five+ years experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Leverage of Lean Manufacturing Green or black Belt Certification preferred.
- Experience with data acquisition and mathematical analysis and use of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Able to effectively make and present presentations in both large and small group settings.
- Experience Supervising personnel in a manufacturing setting to include distribution of work, scheduling, training, answering of questions related to work, problem solving, performance management and discipline.
