Key Responsibilities
- Execute IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) buildout plans at BAT manufacturing and office locations
- Support fiber installation, documentation, and validation across BAT's US facility sites
- Cookordinate with BAT's CAD/Drawing teams for accurate fiber plant documentation
- Plan and implement site-level network connectivity upgrades in line with BAT's infrastructure roadmap
- Conduct site surveys to assess current network infrastructure and identify improvement opportunities
- Work with BAT's manufacturing (MFG) engineers to support Network Address Translation (NAT) and network design for production environments
- Provide hands-and-feet support for all network incidents across manufacturing sites for the full SOW duration
- Replace UPS batteries based on downtime schedules agreed with BAT (BAT procures and stocks batteries)
- Support network-related issues arising at BAT's ROC and Plaza NTP system locations
- Aid BAT's electrical engineers with any network-related infrastructure issues
- Perform physical device support in a secondary role for F5 load balancers as needed
- Support cabling, patching, and physical layer troubleshooting across BAT site locations
- Document site survey reports, IDF buildout plans, and fiber installation activities
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for physical network implementation tasks
- Maintain vendor coordination records related to network infrastructure projects
- Participate in infrastructure refresh planning and project implementation under BAT's direction
- Escalate complex site issues to the Team Lead for architectural guidance
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in network field engineering or site infrastructure roles
- Hands-on experience with fiber optic cabling, IDF buildouts, and structured cabling standards
- Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial network environments
- Experience with physical layer troubleshooting (copper and fiber)
- Ability to travel within a 30-mile radius as needed for manufacturing site support
- Working knowledge of UPS systems and data center/wiring closet standards
- BICSI certification or equivalent physical infrastructure credentials preferred
