Manufacturing Shipping Area Team Leader-M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm

About the role

We are seeking individuals to join our expanding manufacturing team. This position oversees the shipping of all product, processing of product returns, and all card destruction in accordance with plant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Directs setup, oversees the team, operates ASI equipment, and fills in when necessary to complete the shipping of finished product in accordance with specifications, procedures, and practices.
• Establish and assign team members to standard processes and procedures.
• Assign, train, and direct Area Team Leads.
• Ensure achievement of optimum product quality through proper handling of consumables, materials, and machines within your responsibility.
• Ensure the performance of required in-process quality checks to maintain consistent output from start to finish.
• Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of equipment.
• Coordinate responses to “rush” or urgent requests without prior notice while maintaining accuracy and deadline requirements.
• Be flexible to work alternate shift schedules to meet customer demands during peak periods.
• Develop, implement, and monitor process improvement plans to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and enhance labor and material utilization.
• Develop, document, and utilize standardized methods to train new team members.

Note: Duties may be adjusted by the manager based on business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of plastic card manufacturing.
• Minimum of 3 years’ shipping experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High attention to detail and ability to focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Available to work overtime as needed.
• Effective communication skills for interacting professionally with team members, customers, and other parties.
• Experience working within ISO or a documented quality system.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Intermediate math skills.
