Manufacturing Science Associate
Brief Description
We are looking to add a Manufacturing Science Associate to our R&D Team in St. Cloud, MN. In this role, the Manufacturing Science Associate will support the development, validation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes throughout the product lifecycle. This role bridges research and production—transforming innovative product designs into scalable, high-quality manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will apply scientific and technical expertise to drive efficiency, ensure compliance, and uphold rigorous documentation and integrity standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role transfers new products into production, optimizes existing processes through data-driven insights, and upholds the highest standards of documentation and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and brings both scientific expertise and a passion for process excellence.
What can I expect in this role?
- Work in our St. Cloud, MN location Monday-Friday from 8-4:30pm.
- Support the transfer of new product designs into scalable, repeatable manufacturing processes while mitigating potential risks.
- Develop and maintain clear work instructions, training materials, and documentation to ensure operational readiness.
- Plan, execute, and document process validations and research activities, applying appropriate statistical analysis.
- Conduct biomaterial testing and related laboratory work with accuracy, integrity, and adherence to protocols.
- Compile and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations that drive process optimization and product performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives, timelines, and successful project execution.
- Provide production and technical support for new, transferred, or customer-specific products requiring specialized capabilities.
- Apply scientific knowledge and best practices to solve technical challenges and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Perform general maintenance per schedule when applicable and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Observe all company policies, rules, and safety practices.
What makes you a good fit?
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related discipline) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of practical microbiology or molecular laboratory experience required.
- 1–3 years of prior experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development within a regulated industry (medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech) required.
- Technical understanding and hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR) required.
- Strong technical writing skills with experience drafting procedures and technical reports preferred.
- Experience with process validation and technology transfer in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- The ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
