About the role
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer designs and implements robust quality controls with growing independence. They lead routine root-cause/corrective actions (RCCA), conduct capability and validation studies, collaborate with production to drive efficiency and product quality, and support PPAP/NPA readiness.
Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain control plans/inspection plans; lead gauge R&R/MSA; perform capability and stability analyses.
- Plan/execute DV/PV process validations and sampling plans; create verification protocols/reports.
- Lead RCCA & corrective actions (8D/A3), nonconformance disposition, and effectiveness checks.
- Update PFMEA, link controls to failure mode; prepare/compile PPAP evidence for submission.
- Coach technicians/operators on best practices; partner with Manufacturing/Quality/Design on DFM/DFA and change control.
- Prepare clear reports and present risk/status to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Quality Engineer I: 0–2 years of experience in metal manufacturing
- Quality Engineer II: 2–4 years of experience in metal manufacturing
- Quality Engineer III: 4–7 (+) years of experience in metal manufacturing
- Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Leadership, influence, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently while resolving complex, ambiguous problems
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues
- Familiarity with relevant equipment, technologies, and tools
- Communication:
- Experience using MS office suite
- Collaborate with engineers and shop employees
- Customer-Centric:
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret customer prints
- Effectively communicate with relevant departments
- Team Player:
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Decision Making:
- Ability to use data, experience, and collaboration skills to make informed decisions decisively

- Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
- A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $80,000 - $120,000.

Schedule
- This role will require 5-days on site at TTC’s manufacturing plant in Shakopee, MN. Fully remote is not available.
- May require occasional travel to other TTC sites, distribution centers, or supplier locations.
