Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Champion customer corrective actions, interacting with all persons related to corrective actions from production team to the customers and promote a zero-defect culture.
• Reviewing mixing and molding processes on the shop floor, measure and improve process capability and participate in scrap reduction activities.
• Cooking supplier qualification process.
• Contribute to and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, product launches.
• Supervise Quality Audit Team, work directly with floor inspection team.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of experience in Quality is preferred for senior level position, two (2) years plus for the Associate level Quality Engineering position.
• A bachelor's degree in a manufacturing related engineering principle is preferred.
• Experience in plastics or rubber manufacturing.
• Experience in the automotive industry, PPAP, IATF 16949 is highly desired.
• Experience with rubber mixing and rubber molding.
• Experience with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Capability, Metrology, Gage Control, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Design of Experiments (DOE), Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Internal Auditing, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Process Flow, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plan, 3x5 Why, Ishikawa diagrams, Root Cause Analysis.

Pay

Competitive salary up to $90,000 per year, based on experience.
