About the role

The Manufacturing Quality Control Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of CaptiveAire's products. This position is available at our Groveland, FL manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and test the relevant product line, inspecting each product for quality control points.
  • Maintain knowledge of product properties and specifications during the testing process.
  • Ensure all products are defect-free and uphold quality standards.
  • Use QC module software to manage jobs, products, and QC inspections.
  • Operate test equipment and keep it functioning properly.
  • Communicate effectively through emails, QC module updates, and supervisor interactions.
  • Cover one product line, performing final inspection and functional testing.
  • Fill in as an operator when necessary.
  • Be cross-trained to support a second and third product line.
  • Work with quality engineers to execute QA/QC procedures.
  • Complete QC photos and scans on finished products.
  • Inspect products physically and electrically, answering product-related questions.
  • Log all internal quality issues and completed product surveys in the QMS system.
  • Report directly to the Quality Manager.

Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years of work experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail, safety, and quality.
  • Basic Microsoft Office/Windows knowledge.
  • Solving problems and using good judgment.
  • Reading and working from prints, schematics, and technical bulletins.
  • Basic math skills and ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Physical stamina and strength.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

  • Basic electrical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Competitive wages based on experience. Monthly bonus based on productivity and profits. Sign-on bonus paid on the first payroll after 90 days and after 6 months.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Some overtime may be required.
