Main Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all production processes.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Lead, supervise, and support production associates.
- Compose and deliver performance evaluations. Corrective action notices and provide constructive feedback.
- Train, monitor, and enforce quality control standards.
- Address and rectify issues affecting product quality.
- Track, manage, and audit raw materials and finished goods inventory.
- Cookordination with the supply chain to optimize stock levels.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose scalable solutions.
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Enforce and promote safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety training for production personnel.
- Effectively collaborate with site cross-functional partners.
- Relay information accurately, in detail, and respectfully effectively to ensure smooth operations.
- Train new production associates.
- Provide ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Address and resolve production-related issues promptly.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Keep abreast of industry regulations and update procedures accordingly.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for production equipment.
- Address equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Generate reports for management on production metrics.
Qualifications and Experience
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent. Degree preferred.
- Strong preference for Dairy experience.
- Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in a food production environment.
- Food manufacturing experience is a must have.
- One (1) or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership background - ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce.
- Ability to manage and develop associates.
- Strong skills: Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
- Ability to lift up to 60 LBS.
