Wyman-Gordon, located in Worcester, MA, provides Isothermal Forgings for military and commercial turbine applications using nickel based and titanium alloys. Full Heat Treating, Machining and Testing on site. This growing, $200 million profit center is part of a highly successful, multi-billion $ diversified manufacturer Precision Castparts Corporation (PCP). Manufacturing Production Planner Purpose The role is designed to own production planning post-forge through to the delivery dock including machining, Heat treat, ultrasonic inspection and shipping. This includes capacity considerations across internal and external machining centers and outside testing centers. Partnering with operational supervisors to cascade developed production plans so daily/weekly schedules can be created. Essential Job Functions Build mid to long term production plans to achieve customer delivery demandsPartner with operations to drive production plans to achievable daily/weekly schedulesDemand planning – translate customer order commitments to executable plansCapacity planning – balance equipment, labor and material to determine internal vs external capacity requirementsManage production expeditor for all outside services coordinationDevelop in-process tools to create data driven decisions on span time, deliverable execution and capacity. Education And Qualifications S./ B.A (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management) preferredExcellent Microsoft Excel Skills requiredAs9100 or ISO 9001 experience preferredStrong working knowledge of MRP and production planningAbility to data mine and think of alternative solutions to common issues. Special Skills And Physical Requirements Organizational skills.Accurate record keeping.Interpersonal skills in problem solving.Flexibility to meet deadlines.Perform multi-tasks consecutively.
