Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling, forecasting, and supply planning within assigned areas.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve customer needs.
• Act as the liaison between the business and manufacturing operations, leading daily planning meetings and coordinating downtime and changeovers.
• Support production by sequencing the schedule to maximize output and minimize changeover time while considering customer priority.
• Provide accurate lead time to Customer Service and Sales.
• Manage load leveling and raise awareness of bottlenecks in manufacturing.
• Engage in capacity management with cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate and participate in recurring and ad-hoc scheduling, demand, and supply meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain appropriate planning parameters in SAP and other systems and tools.
• Support the launch of new programs/products.
• Optimize inventory levels, minimize excess and obsolete inventory, and strive for 100% on-time delivery to customers and other plants.
• Monitor raw material consumption and develop plans to maintain production needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business management, supply chain/operations, or engineering.
• Minimum 1-3 years of operations experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with experience in the use of lean principles.
• SAP experience.
• Ability to work cross-functionally both internally and externally with customers.
• Ability to quickly and accurately analyze problems and provide viable solutions using proven lean methodology.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
