Manufacturing Process Engineer

Join Crane Currency as a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Nashua, NH and lead the charge in optimizing complex manufacturing processes that drive efficiency, quality, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Play a key part in driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives that directly impact production performance and product quality.
- Focus on increasing yield, reducing downtime, and identifying cost-saving opportunities by optimizing processes and applying creative problem-solving.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, Quality, EH&S, and Supply Chain to help translate ideas into scalable production solutions.
- Influence efficiency, product reliability, and overall operational excellence across the site.
- Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process performance and enable new product launches.
- Develop and implement process operational standards, including statistical process control opportunities.
- Improve product quality by reducing variability, minimizing downtime, and increasing yield and capacity.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Create and maintain standardized work instructions to support consistent, high-quality production.
- Reduce waste, improve equipment utilization, and optimize overall productivity and cost of quality.
- Work closely with operators and production teams to identify and resolve equipment and process challenges.
Requirements
- BS in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing (printing, coating, web processing, or similar environments preferred)
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and applied mathematics
- Experience managing or contributing to critical, self-directed projects with basic project management skills
- Experience with process mapping, capability analysis, and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes to cross-functional teams
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S methodologies
