Manufacturing Plant Senior Operations Leader

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary leader for all production activities, ensuring operational efficiency and product quality.
• Develop and mentor operations resource leaders to enhance plant performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, reliability, and customer-focused strategies.
• Lead by embodying the 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in equipment, ingredients, and customer needs.
• Participate actively in the plant safety process.
• Analyze and apply knowledge of plant processing and operations to optimize department structure.
• Advocate for improvements in policies, procedures, techniques, facilities, production planning, and other operational matters.
• Prepare and manage production portions of operating budgets; oversee budget implementation and control.
• Communicate effectively with plant leadership for efficient policy implementation.
• Coordinate responsibilities across various plant departments, including maintenance, sanitation, quality control, and the plant office.
• Monitor and align with sales and marketing activities that impact production and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategies to help all employees achieve plant production goals.
• Mentor and develop department managers and associates to maximize their potential.
• Communicate with direct reports to provide feedback and support their performance.
• Ensure adherence to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Work safely and responsibly around ingredients and finished products that may contain food allergens.
