Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all production activities, ensuring operational efficiency and product quality.
- Develop and mentor operations resource leaders to enhance plant performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, reliability, and customer service standards.
- Lead by example, embodying the company’s high-performance work system principles and core values.
- Stay informed about industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve plant operations.
- Participate actively in the plant safety process and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and techniques.
- Advocate for and implement changes to production planning, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to the preparation and control of production budgets, and oversee their implementation.
- Communicate effectively with plant leadership to facilitate efficient and timely policy implementation.
- Coordinate responsibilities across various plant departments, including maintenance, sanitation, quality control, and the plant office.
- Monitor and adjust production methods based on sales and marketing activities to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to support employee growth and achievement of production goals.
- Coach and mentor direct reports to help them reach their full potential, fostering a positive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to direct reports.
- Ensure adherence to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
- Oversee the supervision and coaching of direct reports to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Experience working with plant processing and operations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in manufacturing.
- Ability to work in environments involving ingredients and finished products that may contain food allergens.
