Manufacturing Planner (Level 2) / Orlando, FL
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
- Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, therefore must be a U.S. Citizen
- Past experience with Make and Buy Planning, manufacturing and/or Make Planning experience
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs
Job Description
You will be the Manufacturing Planner for the Production, Planning and Control organization. The Production Planning & Control (PP&C) organization is a critical component of Lockheed Martin's manufacturing operations, responsible for developing and executing plans to produce high-quality products on time and within budget. As a key enabler of production success, PP&C teams work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize production schedules, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Be Doing
- Coordinates with Procurement and Operations Management to determine appropriate time-phased plan for procured parts
- Utilizing MRP reports, follow actions in the supply chain to ensure material is ordered and delivered to meet production
- Captures and follows up on all engineering change requests
- Coordinates with Manufacturing and Operations Management to determine appropriate lot sizing strategy for make assemblies, analyzes requirements and executes the MRP plan by releasing work orders
- Ensures implementation of engineering changes to assemblies
- Provides timely status to ensure operating schedules are met
