Manufacturing Planner (Associate or Mid Level)
Position Overview
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring for Manufacturing Planners (Associate, Mid-level) to join the Production Engineering (PE) team in North Charleston, SC. This position supports the 787 program.
Position Responsibilities
- Develops and implements installation plans to ensure build statement of work, technical and customer requirements are achieved using Boeing Policies, procedures and best practices.
- Interrogates Product definition data to create graphics, work instructions, and plans that provides World Class Manufacturing support.
- Provides real time, shop floor support and assistance through the value stream, enhancing build plan performance through improving Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Owns and develops work instructions within your assigned areas that facilitates correct and configurable engineering to the factory floor.
- Interprets and communicates Engineering intent and able to provide detailed engineering details and analysis.
- Completes assignments in planning on time and to set standard.
- Hands on ownership and supportive mindset to the production system.
- Exhibits, and builds a team culture focused on the Boeing Values, working within the framework of Boeing Production System (BPS) while improving skills to meet product and program requirements.
- Works and aligns with Factory Support Collaboration Cells (FSCC).
- Integrate in the larger Engineering organization and function as a part of a high performing team.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment with understanding of engineering intent and requirements.
- Preferred: 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Experience in production planning, owning value stream build plans, and understanding engineering intent and requirements.
- Experience writing aircraft work instructions utilizing People, Parts, Processes, Tools and Designs to complete a cohesive, correct and complete build plan and experience in running improvement projects in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Environment.
- Experience with 787 build plan and Production structures, electrical installations or flight line.
- Knowledge and use of 787 Aircraft systems (i.e. ENOVIA, DELMIA, ETAC, IVT, CATIA, FTIC, FASTR, E-plan, REDARs and Boeing Change Process).
- Comfortable and knowledgeable working in ship side support, rapid reaction force role to support the aircraft build.

Summary Pay Range
Summary Pay Range for Associate (Level 2): $61,200 – 82,800
Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $73,100 – 98,900
