About the role

Making informed decisions to manage production schedules, aligning with project managers, production, engineering, purchasing, and inventory teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain master production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity, and material availability.
  • Plan and schedule material requirements to support production needs and customer delivery commitments.
  • Cook up and expedite material flow between suppliers, warehouses, and production areas.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to address changes in demand, capacity constraints, or material shortages.
  • Optimize inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
  • Analyze MRP/ERP data to identify and resolve planning discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines.
  • Drive process improvements in planning and scheduling to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Prepare and present planning metrics and reports to leadership.
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives through efficient planning and resource utilization.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to resolve scheduling conflicts and improve workflow.
  • Maintain accurate planning data in ERP systems (Epicor preferred).

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing scheduling, production planning, or operations coordination preferred.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment required.
  • ERP/MRP system experience preferred (Epicor experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Skills

  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with BOM structures, production workflows, and material planning.
  • Electrical equipment manufacturing, industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments preferred.
