About the role

SLB is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Planner to join our team in Mobile, AL.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using SAP and Primavera P6 to support manufacturing requirements, optimize capacity, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain production progress against plan, identify potential constraints or bottlenecks, and drive corrective actions to minimize schedule deviations.
  • Perform look-ahead planning to identify material, resource, or engineering documentation shortages and proactively escalate risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Cook up material and resource planning activities with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project teams to align production plans with project milestones and customer commitments.
  • Manage planning-related system data, reports, KPIs, and production performance metrics, ensuring accuracy and timely communication to stakeholders.
  • Support in-process subcontractor activities, quality notifications, and engineering change management processes in accordance with established workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within production planning and reporting processes while ensuring compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and ethical practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, or a related operations environment.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, including schedule development, resource planning, and project monitoring.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP for production planning, materials management, inventory control, and resource planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing deadlines, and perform effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States without company sponsorship.
