About the role

This multifunctional role primarily supports the packaging of manufactured metered dose inhalation (MDI) products in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. As a secondary function, the position provides operational support to Warehouse, Packaging, and Facilities departments.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense raw material and primary packing materials per work order.
  • Plan and execute production batches.
  • Monitor cleaning and sanitation of production areas and machinery during batch-to-batch and product-to-product changeovers following SOPs.
  • Daily monitoring and recording of production materials and line performance.
  • Conduct process checks and record data in batch manufacturing records.
  • Operate machinery to minimize rejections and maximize output while maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration with engineering.
  • Manufacture and fill products according to Batch Manufacturing Records and SOPs.
  • Maintain inventory of machine parts, tools, and accessories.
  • Collaborate with packaging, engineering, QA, and QC departments for planning and execution.
  • Collect samples per schedule in coordination with QA and QC.
  • Ensure status labels are correctly applied at all manufacturing stages.
  • Identify and assist in corrective actions.
  • Perform, check, and ensure calibration/verification of instruments, equipment, and weighing balances as scheduled.
  • Ensure line clearance during batch-to-batch and product-to-product changeovers.
  • Complete online documentation and timely entries related to manufacturing and filling operations.
  • Wear appropriate PPE as required by SOPs before entering processing areas.
  • Execute tasks safely and efficiently according to Health & Safety procedures and equipment manuals.
  • Maintain 100% cGMP and SOP compliance during all operations.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Report issues to department head or reporting manager.
  • Perform daily equipment and machinery maintenance.
  • Complete all documentation accurately, timely, and with integrity.
  • Maintain departmental discipline.
  • Assist in training other employees as required.
  • Be flexible to work extended hours to meet manufacturing schedules.

Training and Safety

  • Undergo initial and periodic training activities.
  • Cross-train in all areas of manufacturing operations as required.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety, health, and environmental guidelines at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Accredited college certificate or university degree (preferred).
  • Minimum two years of manufacturing experience with MDI or aerosol products.
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) to understand work instructions and document results.
  • Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing (highly preferred).
  • Basic understanding of mechanical machinery and control systems.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including OSHA.
  • Strong mathematical and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and bending frequently.
  • Exert force continuously (up to 5 lbs), frequently (up to 25 lbs), and occasionally (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respiratory devices such as Air Purifying Respirators (APR) or Supplied Air Respirators (SAR).

Pay

$21 - $28 per hour.

Schedule

Second Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (may vary based on business needs).
