Manufacturing Operator

About the role

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is seeking a Manufacturing Operator in Jackson, MI. The role requires flexibility to work 1st shift (7 am‑3:30 pm), 2nd shift (4 pm‑12:30 am), or 3rd shift (10:30 pm‑7 am). The base hourly rate is $16.50, with an additional $1 per hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The position is unionized with a 5‑month probationary period after which union membership and dues begin.

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect hourly labor: hands‑on product manufacturing, material movement and storage, assembly and quality testing.
• Active involvement in creating a safe workplace and following safety best practices.
• Work on cross‑functional Lean/Continuous Improvement Teams to improve manufacturing process efficiency, customer quality and delivery performance.
• Assemble products using machines and hand tools.
• Fabricate products using a variety of methods and machines.
• Test assemblies using test machinery.
• Inspect parts using fixtures, gages, and other inspection equipment
