Manufacturing Operator 3rd Shift - Clark, NJ

About the role

The Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. Our Clark facility is unique with two buildings. The North building produces natural flavorings and essential oils with a fruity smell. The South building produces seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy with a savory and garlic scent. The facility is located at 160 Terminal Ave, Clark, NJ 07066.

Key responsibilities

• Product Formulation from raw materials including compounding various liquid formulas and preparing emulsions used in product formulas.
• Operation, cleaning and maintenance of processing equipment.
• Operation of various spray drying units to achieve desired results.
• Packaging of finished product associated with spray drying.
• Utilizing inventory lot rotation (FIFO) for all materials used.
• Following all 5S and Good Manufacturing procedures to maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Handling of allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures.
• Conforming to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans as described in the Kerry Clark SQF Systems manual.
• Reporting any and all deviations to a member of management and setting product aside until further instructed.

Qualifications and skills

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience within the Flavour or a closely related industry.
• Proficient in compounding techniques and raw materials.

Physical requirements

• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and move up to 400 pounds.
• Able to operate forklifts and other equipment integral to the job functions.
• Able to see and distinguish between labels.
• Able to stand for extended periods and walk through the warehouse.
• Able to wear and follow all rules regarding respirator wear.

• The pay rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.
