TASKS
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the work activities and resources for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
- Analyze and review budgets, preparing annual budget plans, scheduling expenditures, and ensuring the department adheres to set budget.
- Oversee the daily workflow, schedules and assignments of the manufacturing team and ensure the coordination and cooperation among departments within the plant.
- Implement and manage efficient procedures, standards, and production processes with an aim to promote high-quality production standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality and capacity while minimizing inefficiencies.
- Set, measure, and report on KPIs related to manufacturing performance, yield, labor and material costs, and safety compliance.
- Implement preventative maintenance procedures and quality control programs to uphold the integrity of equipment and materials.
- Ensure the manufacturing plant complies with relevant regulatory bodies and health, safety & environmental standards.
- Recruit, train, supervise and appraise human resources within the department, fostering a positive team environment.
- Resolve issues or bottlenecks in the production process, coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure minimal impact on production schedule and customer delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with different stakeholders such as suppliers, logistics, and design teams to ensure smooth functioning of the production cycles.
- Forecast trends and manage new product integration, addressing any potential operational challenges.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, taking corrective actions when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Salary Range: $115,000-$130,000
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and operational efficiency strategies.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement techniques.
- Proficient with computer software and MS Office applications, specifically Excel, and ideally knowledge of ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Understanding of safety and health regulations, and ability to instill a strong culture of safety within the team.
- Able to handle multiple priorities effectively and meet challenging deadlines.
- Strong project and logistics management skills, with the ability to implement process changes and improvements.
- Flexible to work in different shifts, including weekends and/or holidays if necessary.
