About the role

The Manufacturing Operation Specialist 1 position at Master Halco, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fence and deck products, involves using forklift equipment to move heavy materials around the plant and providing assistance as requested.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to pick and transport heavy materials around the plant
• Accurately load/unload material from enclosed truck trailers
• Drive yard truck with attached semi-trailer including backing trailer up to dock bays
• Maintain forklifts by completing preventive maintenance
• Report any malfunctions, failures, or repairs to management
• Maintain quality products by following company policies and standards
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Inspect all product being shipped and received for defects to ensure quality standards are met
• Pick, pack, and ship materials
• Keep areas fully stocked to support production
• Provide assistance where necessary

Requirements

• Forklift operation experience required
• Experience loading flatbed trailers required
• Basic computer skills

• Ability to work overtime as needed
