Manufacturing Manager, Animal Safety - Mercer

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with planning and warehouse teams to ensure input inventory aligns with production schedules.
• Collaborate with Shift Supervisors to develop labor plans that match production needs.
• Draft, revise, and enforce standard operational practices, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Interpret specifications and job orders, assigning tasks to the team accordingly.
• Participate in recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and employee management.
• Investigate and resolve product-related customer complaints.
• Recommend and implement improvements in production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Analyze work problems, assisting workers in problem-solving and motivating them to achieve goals.
• Cookordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Act as the Plant Manager in their absence.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and support organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a deep understanding of manufacturing procedures.
• Proven experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Strong ability to interface with management for departmental development.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
