About the role

We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician who takes pride in repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment while supporting production goals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Support production teams by minimizing machine downtime.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and process-related issues.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance records using CMMS software.
  • Work with production and manufacturing teams to improve equipment performance.
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and quality.

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent maintenance experience.
  • Experience with industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, drives, and electromechanical equipment.
  • Experience with plastic molding, blow molding, or injection molding equipment is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during evening and overnight operations.
  • Basic computer skills and experience documenting maintenance activities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 500 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work around industrial equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating blow molding or similar manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to perform minor mechanical repairs.
  • Basic understanding of production processes and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical documents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with extrusion blow molding or injection blow molding.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Prior experience in plastics manufacturing.
