Position Summary

As a Manufacturing Lead Technician, you will oversee the entire production process for a set of products. You will plan, organize, and recommend strategies to ensure successful production in accordance with all specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Provide product expertise within the team and respond to operator queries
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Resolve production problems and train employees
  • Promote high standards through personal example and ensure team members understand expected standards and behaviors
  • Facilitate team participation and enforce company policies and guidelines
  • Contact appropriate sources for repair issues and receive/resolve complaints
  • Evaluate the condition of production equipment
  • Work positively with support functions to define processes, procedures, and controls relevant to team activities
  • Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a product or relevant role
  • Strategic planning skills and strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation
  • Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office

Additional Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to work seated/standing for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Must be able to use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily and wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection)
  • Must be able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
  • Must have visual acuity (with/without job aids) for reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details, and clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (moderate noise)
