About the role
The Manufacturing Launch Cost Lead is responsible for planning and providing Manufacturing volume scenarios for Assembly plants. These Duties Include:
- Drive continuous improvement by collaborating with the Global Launch Cost team on process and standards
- Lead coordination with MCE team to establish North American launch cost for new program initiatives
- Facilitate executive-level validation meetings with senior leadership
- Champion adoption of new processes by engaging and aligning MCE leads
- Orchestrate cross-functional efforts, including Manufacturing Finance, for annual budgeting activities
- Conduct launch cost training sessions for teams and stakeholders
- Act as the primary point of contact for all North American launch cost inquiries
- Create high-level cost estimates to support make vs. buy decision-making
- Develop calendar proposals based on program volume changes, potentially increasing or decreasing
- Work with Supply Chain, MLM, Plant Production, and various other groups to assure proposals and plans are feasible and the most cost-effective way for manufacturing to operate in the current year
- End of Month, End of Quarter, and End of Half will be critical to support flexible working hours to assure reports and information are completed on time
