Manufacturing IT Support Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Manufacturing IT Support Engineer to provide technical support for manufacturing IT infrastructure, applications, and end-user systems in a multi-shift production environment. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, supporting infrastructure and business applications, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to ensure system reliability and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Support physical and virtual server environments running Windows and Linux.
- Maintain and support network equipment in a Cisco environment.
- Aid in incident resolution, issue triage, and business continuity activities.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to prioritize improvements and resolve technical issues.
- Support deployment and maintenance of manufacturing technology solutions and connected devices.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and support procedures.
- Assist with workload management and assigned IT operational tasks.
- Support a multi-shift manufacturing environment, including flexible hours and weekend support when required.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Experience with Windows Server (2016 or later) and/or Linux server administration is required.
- Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches, including basic configuration, troubleshooting, and cable installation, is required.
- A willingness to learn Cisco Software-Defined Architecture (SDA) is preferred.
- Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and ADFS is required.
- Experience with VMware vSphere is required.
- Experience supporting Android and iOS devices, including smartphones and tablets, is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Windows desktops, PCs, printers, and office automation technologies is required.
- Experience with handheld scanners and imaging devices is preferred.
- PowerShell scripting experience is preferred.
