About the role
We are building the infrastructure behind the AI-driven data economy. Every interaction, every model, every system generates data that must be stored, managed, and made accessible over time. This role involves introducing and implementing new products into the manufacturing line, creating and optimizing new process routes, working with various engineering teams, and collaborating with failure analysis and yield teams to improve line yield and product performance.
Responsibilities
- Create and optimize new process routes to support existing process and product upgrades.
- Work with Program, Design, and Development Engineering teams to qualify new products.
- Work with Process and Equipment Engineering teams to qualify new processes and equipment as either the main path or backup path.
- Partner with Failure Analysis and Yield teams to improve line yield, element yield, and cycle time.
- Work with the QA team to ensure specifications, procedures, and outgoing product quality meet requirements.
- Collaborate with backend process teams to improve product performance and backend process yield.
Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in processing, integration, and characterization in the HDD, semiconductor, or similar manufacturing industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Good project management, data mining, data analysis, and evaluation skills.
- Proficient with computer applications, especially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, JMP, and SAS.
- Basic knowledge of engineering procedures and methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, MRR, etc. is preferred.
