Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Level III - 1st Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician- Level III to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Rocky Mount, NC. This role involves supporting manufacturing needs, adhering to safety protocols, maintaining quality workmanship, conducting maintenance, collaborating with teams, and promoting environmental awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support Manufacturing Needs: Perform skilled activities to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Safety Protocols: Learn and adhere to safety protocols, especially when working with electricity and industrial equipment, to maintain a safe work environment.
• Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Actively report hazards, use personal protective equipment, and engage in HSE training to promote a safe workplace.
• Quality Workmanship: Apply high standards of craftsmanship, follow quality procedures, and perform inspections to ensure product quality.
• Maintenance and Problem-Solving: Conduct preventive, emergency, and corrective maintenance, and provide feedback to improve equipment reliability.
• Team Collaboration: Instruct and coach team members, communicate effectively, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Housekeeping and Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly work area, contributing to a safe and efficient workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.
• Basic understanding of CNC cutting machine tools preferred.
