Manufacturing Engineering Technician

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician position is available immediately at ChampionX in Broken Arrow, OK. ChampionX is seeking a safety-sensitive role that may involve drug testing.

About the Role

This role supports engineering projects through fabrication, machining, and assembly. Tasks include troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, interacting with vendors and coworkers, documenting assembly steps, and maintaining records. The position requires a combination of mechanical assembly work, operation of manual lathe/mill, welding (GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW), reading and interpreting machine drawings and electrical schematics, and basic electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks under the direction of an engineer or manager.
• Support engineering project fabrication, machining, and assembly.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment of various types.
• Interact regularly with vendors and co-workers.
• Document assembly steps and maintain records for company and customers.
• Follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements.
• Read and follow written and/or verbal directions and use a computer to communicate, create, and access information.

Requirements

• One year experience with mechanical assembly work, operation of manual lathe/mill, welding (GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW), reading and interpreting machine drawings and electrical schematics, and basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as required.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
• Must meet physical demands including standing, walking, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, grasping, lifting, climbing, and handling personal protective equipment.
