About the Role

Assist with redesigning various product lines for cost effectiveness and improved performance. Coordinate manufacturing launches for new or revised products, including team training and results evaluation. Design, develop, and test machinery while recommending and implementing production process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the redesign of product lines to enhance cost effectiveness and performance.
  • Coordinate manufacturing launches for new or revised products, including training team members and evaluating results.
  • Design, develop, and test machinery.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls.
  • Evaluate and report on new materials, technology, and techniques for improving manufacturing and product service.
  • Create and manage project plans, reports, and documentation for all project phases.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of equipment, electrical drawings, and other documentation.
  • Prepare quotations and appropriation requests for equipment to support business unit requirements.
  • Evaluate and solve production problems.
  • Manage the transition of new products and technology into production.
  • Research, design, and develop manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ladder logic experience.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical design.
  • Able to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to interface effectively with team members, vendors, and guests at all levels.
  • Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, projects, and priorities.

Qualifications

  • For Electrical Programmer: Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Technology, or equivalent degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred). Able to read, create, and analyze electrical drawings.
  • For Computer Programmer: Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred). Visual Basic experience or training required. Knowledge of object-oriented development required.
