Manufacturing Engineering Manager

About the role

Eaton’s PCD Power Components Division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join the team at the Horseheads, NY location. The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $165,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering function to support plant objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Serve as the bridge between technical execution and business strategy by driving process optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement.
• Develop, coach, and motivate team members to drive performance, accountability, and professional growth.
• Design, develop, and implement integrated manufacturing systems, processes, and workflows to improve productivity, reduce cost, and ensure competitiveness.
• Analyze production and operational data to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and improve cost performance and throughput.
• Optimize facility layout, equipment utilization, and material flow to improve overall operational efficiency.
• Lead the execution of the Eaton Quality System within Manufacturing Engineering to ensure consistent product quality and process control.
• Drive compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS/MESH) requirements by partnering with site EHS leadership and ensuring adherence to all corporate and regulatory standards.
• Lead capacity planning and manage the annual capital plan for VI manufacturing; develop business cases, control budgets, and ensure effective execution of capital projects.
• Support strategic planning by developing and maintaining 5-year plans for quality, manufacturing technology, lean initiatives, and capital investment.
• Serve as the Industry 4.0 champion by defining and executing the plant digitalization roadmap.
• Plan and execute engineering projects, equipment implementations, and new product introductions from concept through launch.
• Provide technical guidance in the selection of suppliers, contractors, and equipment to ensure alignment with plant requirements and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, including Manufacturing Management, Total Quality Management, Planning, Statistical Process Control, Purchasing, Inventory Management and Control, Lean Manufacturing systems and tools.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience (can include projects or as a leader of people).
• Must be highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite programs and CREO.
