Manufacturing Engineering Co-op/Intern - Summer/Fall

About the role

This opportunity, starting in the summer, will continue through the fall with a flexible schedule to accommodate classes.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the documentation and implementation of Automation projects.
• Handle basic ECO (Engineering Change Orders) tasks such as printing revisions, BOM revisions, releasing/revising documentation, and creating/test protocols/test reports.
• Engage in Gemba actions including assembly fit and work instruction improvements.
• Create and evaluate tools to reduce hand strain and improve assembly throughput.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop processes, fixtures, and components for quality product production.

Requirements

• 2+ years of undergraduate work towards a major in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience from prior professional internships or relevant lab/university experience is preferred.
• Basic SolidWorks experience is beneficial.

Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and internet.
• Clear written and interpersonal communication skills.
• The ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
