About the role
This opportunity, starting in the summer, will continue through the fall with a flexible schedule to accommodate classes.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the documentation and implementation of Automation projects.
- Handle basic ECO (Engineering Change Orders) tasks such as printing revisions, BOM revisions, releasing/revising documentation, and creating/test protocols/test reports.
- Engage in Gemba actions including assembly fit and work instruction improvements.
- Create and evaluate tools to reduce hand strain and improve assembly throughput.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop processes, fixtures, and components for quality product production.
Requirements
- 2+ years of undergraduate work towards a major in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience from prior professional internships or relevant lab/university experience is preferred.
- Basic SolidWorks experience is beneficial.
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and internet.
- Clear written and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
