This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

About the role

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineer Manager, this position performs complex diagnostics and multi-system troubleshooting. The Manufacturing Engineer Tech III will be involved in independent problem-solving, process improvement, setup of grinding equipment, and ordering necessary tooling. This role includes mentoring newer technicians and may require some supervision coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Assign work to appropriate S&O operator and Operator B personnel, instructing them on proper procedures and gaging methods.
  • Assist in setups and troubleshooting on grinding equipment, including understanding grind wheel capabilities, speeds, and feeds.
  • Provide second approval and review jobs to ensure compliance with production routing and/or print requirements.
  • Perform complex diagnostics and multi-system troubleshooting, solving harder, non-routine problems independently.
  • Engage in root cause analysis, process improvements, and mentoring newer technicians.
  • Handle complex, multi-system issues without constant supervision and tackle unusual, cross-system failures requiring deeper analysis.
  • Identify and implement process improvements or changes.
  • Work with Engineering on new part setups (machines and rates), new machine design, and application.
  • Assist in the management and ordering of grinding tooling (grinding wheels, diamonds, jaws, drivers, quills, diamond rolls).
  • May have expanded safety authorization and the ability to approve certain corrective actions without immediate escalation.
  • Perform first piece approval per setup approval process.
  • Operate precision measuring equipment.
  • Follow Ethics and Safety Programs.
  • Adhere to all Export, Import, and Supply Chain Security Policy requirements relevant to the position.
  • Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs.
  • Adhere to AS9100 Standards.

Requirements

  • Grinding Knowledge/Experience.
  • Programming of CNC grinders and CNC lathes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three to five years technical degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Green Belt certification within three years.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with the Internet.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix and team environment.
  • Regular attendance.
