About the role

Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D-based model data environments to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.

Evaluates performance (including IoT devices) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the Fabrication area.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with design, manufacturing, test, quality, and other internal/external stakeholders as the product(s) move from planning to release, completion, and distribution.
  • Use SAP, dPLM, and other applications & tools to analyze and develop sequences of operations, work instructions, procedures, and production record systems including inspection and test.
  • Assist in the identification, procurement, and implementation of equipment, machinery, tools/fixtures, and material handling systems.
  • Establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel utilizing Lean Six Sigma concepts to improve workflow efficiencies throughout production and the facility.
  • Use 2D/3D modeling tools to assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of manufacturing cells & layouts throughout the facility.
  • Use business process applications and tools to analyze data to improve productivity including reducing cost, improving inventory accuracy, and improving first-pass quality to achieve on-time schedules.
  • Investigate issues, gather data, and initiate corrective actions, then present solutions to teams and leaders within the organization.
  • Assist in establishing hazard prevention measures including personnel training programs for all phases of production operations including safety and ergonomics.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering Discipline with 3 years of experience or MS in Engineering Discipline with 1+ year of experience.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fabrication processes (Weld, CNC, Paint, Laser, Forming).
  • Experience in LEAN Six Sigma Methodologies.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $76,700.00 - $142,500.00
