Compensation: $130,000–$150,000 salary with up to 10% bonus. Relocation and sign-on support available.

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a growing manufacturer that supports highly technical, build-to-print production for advanced defense programs. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who knows how to take complex products from engineering release into real production. This role is ideal for someone who has worked around machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly and enjoys being close to the floor, solving production problems, improving processes, and helping teams build highly precise defense-related components the right way.

They’re looking for someone who can be both technical and practical—not just someone who sits behind a desk. The right candidate will know how to write work instructions, support new product launches, improve flow, work with operators, and drive manufacturing improvements in a fast-moving production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for build-to-print aerospace and defense components
  • Create clear work instructions, travelers, process documentation, and production support materials
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and help move programs from prototype or early-stage production into full-rate manufacturing
  • Work closely with production, quality, engineering, supply chain, and leadership to resolve issues on the floor
  • Support manufacturing of machined parts, welded assemblies, fabricated components, and complex mechanical assemblies
  • Create and maintain BOMs, assembly layouts, production layouts, and process flows
  • Identify bottlenecks, quality concerns, and efficiency gaps, then help put real solutions in place
  • Lead or support Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects
  • Help standardize processes so production teams can build consistently, safely, and efficiently
  • Act as a hands-on technical resource for manufacturing teams across machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly operations

Requirements

  • 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or complex metal fabrication
  • Strong background with machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly processes
  • Ability to create and improve work instructions, BOMs, process plans, and production layouts
  • Experience supporting NPI, production ramp-up, and manufacturing problem-solving
  • Strong understanding of Lean, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology may be considered with strong hands-on experience
  • Comfortable being visible on the production floor and working directly with operators, technicians, engineers, and quality teams

Benefits

  • Strong compensation: $130,000–$150,000 salary
  • Up to 10% bonus opportunity
  • Relocation and sign-on support available
  • High-impact aerospace and defense work
  • Hands-on engineering environment with real production visibility
  • Opportunity to improve processes, layouts, work instructions, and manufacturing flow
  • Exposure to machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, and advanced defense-related production
  • Long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturing operation

Schedule: Full-Time, onsite manufacturing environment.
