About the role
Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Customer Service Engineering team at our facility in Miramar, FL.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day engineering support for production, repair, overhaul, and testing activities within a fast-paced aerospace MRO environment.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, manufacturing, and test-related issues to minimize downtime and improve product flow.
- Support functional testing operations by diagnosing failures, improving test processes, and ensuring the continuous operation and reliability of test equipment.
- Analyze manufacturing and repair processes to identify opportunities for improved quality, efficiency, standardization, and cost reduction.
- Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing instructions, process documentation, engineering procedures, and technical work instructions.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support customer commitments.
- Monitor material consumption, evaluate repair data, and identify process improvements that enhance operational performance and customer reliability.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities for production and testing equipment.
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams, equipment vendors, and customers to support equipment upgrades, troubleshooting efforts, and technical issue resolution.
- Participate in root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.
- Support the introduction of new repair capabilities, equipment, automation, and process improvements as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Engineering experience supporting production environments through technical problem solving and process improvements.
- Experience supporting aerospace MRO, repair station, or aftermarket operations.
- Experience with electrical power systems, electromechanical assemblies, avionics, and/or aircraft components.
- Functional testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostic experience on production or repair hardware.
- Experience with automated test equipment, test software, or test system integration.
- Experience working with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Pay
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
Schedule
This role is an Onsite role. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
