Manufacturing Engineer (Levels II-III) All Shifts
About the role
We are seeking experienced manufacturing engineers to join our team at Blue Origin. This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, focusing on manufacturing and supply chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
Responsibilities
- Translate engineering intent and drawings into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight.
- Craft manufacturing bill of materials and work instructions.
- Identify tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware.
- Provide shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
- Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs), manage, and close them.
- Support the introduction of new products by crafting manufacturing plan artifacts such as build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency.
- Drive the transition from development to production, performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
Requirements
- Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, automotive manufacturing, or similar: 3+ Level II Engineer.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&T.
- Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with building flight hardware.
- Experience with design, development, or production of launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellites.
- Proficient with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (Creo or CATIA V5).
- Customer-focused with a proven track record to work cooperatively with teams of different skills across large geographic distances.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Skills
While not all qualifications are listed, candidates should possess strong skills in engineering fundamentals, CAD software proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Schedule
- Shift A: Monday – Friday (7am-4:00pm)
- Shift B: Monday – Friday (2pm-10:30pm)
- Shift C: Friday - Sunday (6am-6pm)
- Shift D: Friday- Sunday (5pm-5am)
