We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which comprises Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, including Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all facilities. We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations team in Texas (onsite, with a temporary remote‑work exception). The role will lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure stringent quality control throughout production, and optimize supply chain logistics for Production/Operations. The ideal candidate is results‑driven, skilled in resource management, and committed to high‑quality standards, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance timelines. Leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies, you will improve manufacturing techniques to support Blue Origin’s innovation and excellence in aerospace engineering. Multiple shifts are available, and up to 50% travel to Seattle is required for the first approximately 12 months; relocation assistance is available.

  • Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes that support Blue Origin’s mission.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building a road to space.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.
  • Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (e.g., composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
  • Support root cause analysis of process or product non-conformances; develop and implement corrective actions that enhance reliability and performance.
  • Ensure all work aligns with applicable quality and safety standards (AS9100, ISO 9001), supporting a safe and sustainable future in space.
  • Participate in process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new production lines and equipment.
  • Identify and complete opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction, optimizing our ability to achieve our mission at scale.
