Manufacturing Engineer Intern
About the role
Manufacturing Engineer Intern – Austin, TX. The intern will support the Operations Department in improving overall efficiency and standardization.
Responsibilities
- Meet with hiring managers and supervisors to assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, ensuring quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements are met.
- Analyze current operational processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement process improvements, layout optimizations, and workflow redesigns.
Qualifications
- Junior, senior, or graduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong technical aptitude with coursework or experience in manufacturing processes and mechanical design.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex systems and data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior internship or coursework experience in manufacturing is a plus.
