About the role
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support to a fast-paced production environment
- Lead troubleshooting and disposition of non-conforming (NC) avionics hardware, software, firmware, and electrical systems through detailed work instructions
- Drive isolation, containment, and resolution of NC parts and assemblies
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause corrective actions (RCCA) to prevent recurrence of manufacturing and hardware issues
- Serve as a key technical interface between the production value stream and design engineering, ensuring smooth execution of hardware builds, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with design engineering to implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) that improve manufacturability and reduce non-conformances
- Partner with design teams early in the development cycle to improve Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) prior to design release
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with complex electrical aerospace or space hardware
- Strong understanding of electrical systems such as: High-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuits, Battery-based power systems (power management, switching, charging, safety), Embedded command and I/O systems for complex industrial or vehicle applications, RF communication systems and components
- Experience applying DFMA principles in design development
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Hands-on mindset with strong attention to detail and ownership of work
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new challenges
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with aerospace or space electrical systems
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-A-600/610/620, J-STD-001, and DO-254
- Experience troubleshooting high-reliability, safety-critical electronics
- Experience developing embedded software or firmware for microcontrollers, DSPs, or FPGAs
- Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E preferred)

Pay
For WA applicants is $91,852.00 - $128,592.45
