Manufacturing Engineer I

Primary Responsibilities

• Works under only general direction, independently determines and develops approach to solutions
• Completes understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field
• Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
• Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives
• Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects

Experience/Education/Skills

• BS in designated Engineering or related field or equivalent years of experience
• Preferred: DMAIC, DFSS, LEAN, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Mistake Proofing, DOE, DFx
• Root Cause and Corrective Action / Nonconformance Disposition (MRB)
• Production and Assembly Environment (Composite Lay Up, Cure, Paint, and NDI)
• Machine shop environment (Composite Machining)
• As a manufacturing engineer
• Shop Planning Generation (MS Word Products, etc)
• New Product Development / New Business Development
• Working in/Leading a multidisciplinary team
• GD&T/CATIA V5/Green Belt Certified a plus
• Experience in Windchill, and SAP
• Aerospace manufacturing a plus
