Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op

Job Description

Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment for maximum efficiency
Develop and implement recommendations for tool redesign changes of materials, methods, etc.
Research manufacturing trends, new technology and recommends improvements
Investigate manufacturing problems and recommends solutions
Facilitate Lean Manufacturing initiatives in all manufacturing facilities, participate in continuous improvement projects
Investigate and prepare requests for capital improvements

Required Qualifications

• Enrollment as Engineering or Engineering Technology student
• Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent command of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD (Solidworks and/or AutoCAD) and other computer programs
• Ability to independently move about factory and lift up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

• ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements: Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
• Primary work environment is professional corporate office
