About the role

Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer with expertise in Multi-Axis Machining to join our high-performance team. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY. As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you’ll play a critical role in transitioning operations into our next-generation Advanced Integrated Manufacturing (AIM) facility. Responsibilities

  • Create detailed operation sheets and NC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies
  • Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to streamline production
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, production, and vendors to resolve issues and enhance manufacturability
  • Be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements, tooling upgrades, and design modifications
  • Assist in estimating costs and timelines for new proposals and tooling development

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree, or an Associate’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience using CAD/CAM software
  • Experience with Multi-Axis Machining
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering from raw material to finished product
  • Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills to work effectively across departments

Pay

Buffalo, NY: $80,000.00–$120,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
